VTFD Community Defibrillator Program Helps Save a Life
VTFD Community Defibrillator program has been instrumental in assisting in placing defibrillators in area schools, businesses, and law enforcement vehicles.
On February 8th, 2018, one of the defibrillators that were placed in a law enforcement vehicle was put to good use and helped save the life of a 48-year-old man. Trooper Jim Dotson with assistance from other nearby police officers applied their issued AED and delivered two shocks to an individual in cardiac arrest.
