1967 American LaFrance Pioneer Pumper – 750gpm/500gal

This apparatus has had quite a history. E-71 was the first new rig purchased by VTFD. In 1992, it was sold to an oil refinery in Lawrenceville, Illinois which has since closed. The truck was given to the Lawrenceville FD when the refinery closed in 1996 and then given back to Vincennes Twp in 2001. In 2004 it was reassigned from Engine 71 to Hazmat 10 where it carried some bulky hazmat gear in its hose bed until it was retired in 2009. It now serves as a parade piece and still runs like a champ!
